Sunset photo. Landscape near Ginst Point, Carmarthenshire, Wales. Welsh Landscape.

Ginst Point is the relatively unexplored end of Pendine Sands. Ginst Point is just at the estuary turning where the Afon Taf meets Carmarthen Bay, nestled between Laugharne and Pendine. This picture was taken along the road that leads up to Ginst Point and East Marsh. The camera was facing towards the striking geological contrast between the flat area of land around East Marsh and the ubiquitously hilly land of this part of Wales. Although this striking geological feature is in shadow, the sunset photo shows how it rises out of the ground abruptly. This contrast of land is delineated by the A4066.
